Van Gogh’s drawings were a crucial part of his art and development. He made over 1,000 drawings, often using pencil, pen, ink, chalk, and reed pens. These works focus on people, landscapes, and everyday life, showing strong lines, movement, and emotion. Many drawings served as studies for his paintings and reveal his intense observation and expressive style.
